I thought is was supposed to be orange too. But people on this board were telling me it's a yellow.

I think it will be an orange....hence Valencia orange.

I remember HTT discussing a possible orange color choice back in May '05. That was back when only blue, red, white, and black were supposedly the only colors to be available. Inidentally, I didn't see gold stripes as an available option for black- that would have been nice to see, as it would have been nice and retro...-er.

The orange is supposed to pay homage to the 1970 Boss 302 Trans Am cars that brought home the gold for Ford after the Camaros had won two years prior. Why they chose a GT500 as a vehicle to pay hoage to a Boss is beyond me- personally, I think it's less Grabber Orange and more of that bright, obnoxious Mopar orange that was found on the 69/70 Shelbys.

Kinda ugly, but nice that they gave us the option. I guess.

There is also a Valencia Yellow. The concept FORD GTX1 at SEMA was in Valencia Yellow, and the press releases on the Shelby said Valencia Yellow, not orange. The 2005 Mustang GT-R was in Valencia Orange.
