i apologize in advance for the vague nature of this question, but here goes: what is that metal structure that is directly above the gas tank? i notice that the gas tank clips onto it as well. i dont have a camera on me, so i cant take a pic of it right away. also, is that part replaceable? reason why i ask is because the paint/coating appears to be chipping away and i see spots of superficial rust on it.
vague question... but need definitive answer
