VA window tint law

howdy gents. just picked up a terminator from NC. the windows are blacked out all but the windshield..i know the door window tint has to go but what about the rear? I've heard conflicting stories from cops and other guys about the law. everyone I've talked to says the same about the door windows but some say you can go as dark as you want on the rear and small side windows..i remember when I was younger with my old 95 gt. it was like 15% rear and I never had a problem. please elaborate for me knowledge knowing people! again im in VA..

Incorrect. VA tint law is NO darker that 50% on the 2 front side windows (driver's door and front passenger's door). No tint on the windshield. No darker than 35% on all other windows. There is also a 7% tolerance allowed by statute.
