V8 Jeep vs. Golf vr6

I went to the track last night, keep in mind the track is only a 1000ft. My wifes Jeep is a 04 Grand Cheeroke awd with a 4.7 v8 that is bone stock. The Golf is a 6 speed 2 dr vr6 with an cat back and a cai. The first time we lined up the golf had a pass. in it to help even out the 2 cars. We staged up and I got the jump right off and held them off untill the finish line. I ran a 13.5 @ 74 mph the golf ran a 13.6 @ 80 mph. So now on to race #2 neither of us have a pass. now and we line up, agian I get the jump off the line and stay in front taking the win with a 13.4 @ 74 mph the golf ran a 13.41 @ 80 mph. All in all I'm very happy with what happend. I know it was becuase of the driver that I won and they said their clutch was going, but a win is a win. :coolman:

My wife drives a 04 grand cherokee also....I love racing some of the import guys on the street. It'll surprise alot of people, mainly because of the awd.
