Hi , I just bought a used Gen 1 VMP TVS and I wanted to know if I can use sandpaper in my VMP elbow because the inside is rough.
Some pics of the inside:

Thanks

Is it still attached to the blower? You can just make sure you clean it out good before putting it back on. Dermal may be faster easier.

I bet you have one of the first produced. I believe they corrected this issue a few months after the blower was released. As someone said you won't gain anything by cleaning it up, just bolt up and go have some fun

It can't hurt, that surface finish is pretty rough the outside wall is where the majority of the flow will be but like others said chances are it won't make much difference.

If this was my blower intake and had an hour to kill would I smooth that? "Yes"

That surface finish is pretty nasty and will cause lots of little ebbs in the flow along the wall. Not sure if the dyno agrees with me though.
