upper radiator support

If you are talking about the upper part of the core support, I wouldn't do it. That is a structural part of the body and suspension. I can envision the shock towers wanting to shove inward with that gone from the structure.

Why are you wanting to do it ?

If it were me, I would fab up some sort of tubing crosspiece to replace the top of the core support. I really think that piece plays an important role in keeping the front end from wanting to squeesh inboard, especially on a street driven car.

It may have been done, and I might be wrong, but without that top piece in place it sure looks to me that it would weaken the whole front structure. Now, maybe if you have a cage in the car, with some of the bars running forward and tied into the strut supports, that might make a difference.

I thought about a piece of pipe across the middle,still inside of the radiator support where the bumper supports are.tbis still ties the car together.
