Upgrading axles, have a question about ABS Reluctors

Hi all. My father and I are performing a few more mods in March. I have 31 spline Strange axles (1/2" studs) with NO ABS Reluctors, gears, tru trac and diff cover waiting for me at home.

One thing slightly confusing to me is not the fact that ABS Reluctors are not included with the axle, but what the hell they actually do! This is the exact part: http://www.jpcracing.com/stange-2005...abs-reluctors/

Is this something additional I have to buy or can I use the reluctors from my stock axle (assuming they aren't broken)?

I've found snippets of answers here and there but nothing solid yet...could really use some guidance here.

There on the JPC site. Same price, I think the reluctors are just an option.

I already have the axles...

Just curious if I can re-use the reluctor from the stock axle and/or setup tips or if I need to order a seperate one.

New reluctors are (relatively)cheap. I think Tousley has them for around $25 a piece.
