I am putting together a Teksid block engine and have run into a few problems. I ordered new chains, guides and tensioners. The problem is that I recieved two thread-in dowels for the guides and an extended oil pump bolt. Well, that is all cool but the holes in the guides are too small for the dowels to go through. I know that these are updated guides because their are a couple holes missing and the guide holes have no bushings like the old style. Anybody know whats going on or what I need to order. I would be happy running the old guide and bolt if I could get them new. Hopefully I have the rite tensioners. All parts ordered from Steve at Tousley Ford and he was very friendly ans delivery was prompt. Any ideas?
Updated chain guides and fasteners?
