UPDATE!!!! 1999 ford lightning hesitation/bogging out when WOT!!!

Sup guys,


I have a 1999 ford lightning stock motor. Only upgrade
Is a 4lb pulley and diablo sport tune "91octane pulley"

My truck hesitates and boggs out when i floor it. Everyone told me to change spark plugs and check the coils.

So i take my truck to a local dyno shop. They replaced my spark plugs
To ngk tr6 and they checked my cops "coils" everything is good.

My truck is still bogging out !!! They said my cats might be clogged

I hope its that.


Has anybody delt with this issue? Please help

Cats are possible but unlikely (how many miles??).. Fuel Filter, pumps? Do you have any other SES codes coming up?

Truck has 185k
I replaced the fuel filter and and both fuel pumps like 7 months ago

What did they gap the plugs to? Sounds like spark blowout. There is more to it than just replacing plugs. They have to be gapped correctly before installing. I had a guy I work with change plugs coils fuel filter pumps to find out the plugs were not gapped properly. With the #4 lower you need them gapped to.036
