Unplugging MAF question

I've got a procharged mod motor coupe that's been running like pure shit lately. All the codes pulled said it was running rich on both banks and my cheap A/F gauge is pegged rich during normal driving. Also as soon I get into boost it falls on its face and won't hardly idle. I've replaced the plugs, cleaned the MAF, and checked for Vac leaks.

Well last night I unplugged the MAF and it ran, reved, and idled a lot better! Does this mean the MAF has gone bad? Is there any other way to test it?
