With our GT500 getting built next week, we've decided to sell our 88 GT. It has 28,000 miles and is stock except for the exhaust. I hate to sell this car because it is such a clean car but my wife is not as big of a car person as I am and once the GT500 gets here, the 88 probably won't get driven much, if at all. So instead of it letting it sit in our garage for 10 years until our son can drive, we've decided to sell it to somebody who will enjoy it.
We are the second owners and have enjoyed this car for the last 2 years. Our original intention was to modify it as a tribute car for my dad as a retirement present but he passed before we got any of the modifications done. We mocked up the paint scheme with some decals last year and removed them after this year's Volo Shelby show.
But now it looks like it's time to move on. The car is very clean inside & out but not perfect. The first $12,000 takes the car. We will consider reasonable offers but no trades please. Car is located in the Chicagoland area.
