Happy Birthday Marines. Spent my day flying my last mission supporting Marines on the ground in Marjah. From the Commanding Officer of 2nd Battalion 6th Marines as we checked off station.
" I just wanted to thank you guys for all your support the last few months. Thanks for all your courage and professionalism. Tell all your pilots and maintainers that I see a Corporal and Sergeant alive everyday due to your Squadron's efforts and dedication to accomplishing the mission. I will always remember your warrior spirit. Have a Happy Marine Corps birthday and safe trip back home Dealer (Our callsign out here). Spartan 6 out."

To all the Marines we supported out here (1/2, 1/8, 3/7, 3/5, 1/6, 2/6, 3/6, 3/3, 1/3, 2/1, 3/1, 4th LAR, 1st LAR, 1st RECON,2nd RECON, MARSOC, and all the British Royal Marines Task Force Helmand) it was an honor to have served with you in a very tough summer in the Helmand Province.
