A couple of buddies wanted me to shoot their R1's, and since i can't turn down an opportunity to do a photoshoot, here's what we ended up with.

The first bike (JustaGT5408) is a 2007 and was shot at his shop, and the second is a 2004 and was shot at Area 267 in Marshalltown. Both are Shift Red.

Photo's were shot with my Nikon D60 at what felt like a 25-30+ second exposure, using a 70-300, and 18-55 lenses.

All C&C is welcome, enjoy guys.

since you asked for C&C
1)white balance is off
2)lighting is harsh, lots of blown highlights and tons oh shadows that hide details
3)bikes look washed out, tweak your curves
4)composition is boring, use the rule of thirds
5)if you have trouble with lighting(do not have auxiliary lights) do not shoot at night but shoot at dusk instead
6)find something with an interesting background

Not a problem Lance, anytime man. I figured I'll be shooting all your toys for quite sometime, and I might as well post them up in your forums as well. The honda/acura guys I usually post for are running out of mean things to say about your ricey mustang anyway :-D

1) i agree, i didn't use the histogram like i should have.
2) is that due to exposure being to high or not using the histogram?
3) how exactly should the curves be tweaked? are you referring to the curves in PS?
4) the second set is definitely a little repetitive and needed to be more varied like you said.
5) its hard to find good white light in our town, just figured i'd give it a shot. now i know better, lol
6) gotcha.
