Just got my car running with a home built teksid block with manley flattop pistons. I run a ported pi heads and now a ported edelbrock intake.

This was how I broke it in today.

E85 is a great fuel, but 12:1 and 12psi on twins is still pushing it IMO.

not really, i wish i could find it, but my buddy Nick found guys running 20+ lbs of boost on 12:1 with e85, one guy was on a pushrod 5.0 also, a few were camaros, so it's possible to run it safe, and 12lbs is pretty low when you think about it

I could never understand why people run Prochargers on stock 03/04 Cobra compression. The compression is way too low. Your car is a perfect example of common sense. Boost + compression = faster spool. I bet that bad boy pulls hard as hell!

Can run lower boost and make even more power.

OP props to you!
I got hell from 90% of the people I spoke to when I decided to build my new motor with 12:1 compression and E85... N/A!!!! Your car is "real world" proof that high compression can not only be ran with E85, but can also be exploited to its full potential with a power-adder!

I was wanting ti do 10:1 with a turbo but dont have E85 anywhere near me. What do yall think about 9.5:1 93oct fuel with water/meth injection?

My last engine was 9.4:1.
also, My speedometer is ran off the front passenger side abs ring. You have to watch the tach to see tire spin. At the track I shift at 7200rpm.
