A buddy of mine was out doing his initial testing on 8.5" slicks this past weekend. Things went very well while still coming out of the hole soft. Lots left in the combo on both the front and back halves. This car will be coming with us to Kentucky for the Turbo Coyote Shootout at the NMRA World Finals event. It's getting some tweaks before the event and should be really fun by then:

8800DA at Bandimere Speedway
Hellion Twin 62mm kit
Built motor (stock heads/cams)
6r80 with clutches and billet intermediate shaft
26x8.5 hoosiers
3990lb race weight

wow. These Coyote's are amazing. Very impressive! I wonder what that would be at sea level. 8.80s?

My car only picked up .2 from Bandimere to sea level. Luckily we get to see what this car will do at sea level in October at the NMRA finals. It is slated for a lot of fun changes, hopefully some of those occur before October and it sees some 8's while out there :)
