Hello guys,

I currently have a 2010 gt500 that I race in the half mile, I have been trapping 154 and would like to hit 160. Here are my mods,

-Trinity tvs with 2.5" pulley
-VMP 67mm tb with JLT 123MM intake
-orx
-id1000's with VMP dual bap
-c&r heat exchanger

Car cade 666rwhp/626rwtq on e85.

I have thought about getting my tvs ported and adding longtube headers with a 2.4" pulley. Would those be worthwhile mods? If not what would you guys suggest?

Thanks in advanced!

Long tubes and a 10% lower sound good in your case. You can definitely afford to run some more boost on E85.

By far the best bang for your buck, especially with your mod list. Get them in 3.31 if you're wanting improvements in the half mile.

Think I can hit 160 in 4th with 3.31's on a 28" tall tire? currently I have to shift into 5th around 148mph, not having to shift into 5th would be huge!

I see that you make the same amount of power that I do and trap the exact same in the 1/2, is yours a 2010 as well?

Last September I ran 147 in the half mile. I made 637 rwhp then. I have since ported my blower and swapped my rear suspension over to BMR. I had my car tuned at Pro Dyno two weeks ago and I made 673rwhp and 642rwtq. I have another event in two weeks so I hope I can improve on my previous mph.

I did a TVS install on mine with a 2.4 pulley. See my signature for my results. Not sure why my numbers are different from yours other than I can guess that my tuner and LT headers have an influence.

Definitely let me know what you trap! How was traction for you when you ran 147?

I had zero traction in first and second. Third was not much better. The event is held on a private air strip so the surface is not the best. With all the new BMR items I should have most of my traction issues fixed.

I would try long tubes. They are a little spendy and labor intensive but worth it IMO. I haven't ran my car in the half mile but in the 1/4 I was trapping 124-125 then I added LT's/ OR-H and 56# injectors and was trapping 129-130 with a DA of about 3500'. Still with the factory catback.

Mods: FRPP TVS w/2.6
JLT127
CJ65
SW LT w/OR-H
C&R HE
91 VMP tune
