I know what Tubular K-members are, in a nut shell, but what exactly are some of the benefits of one? Also, how much do they go for and where can I pick one up?

And can it be done in your backyard, or is there lots of fabrication involved?
i'm not entirely sure but you may need one of those engine cranes to hold the engine to take out the old stuff. Maybe someone else from this board can help you out with more info.

If you intend the unit for street use; choose wisely.

It boils down to Maximum Motorsports and Griggs. The MM is known for being the tougher of the two.

Also keep in mind that coil overs and tubular control arms are generally necessary as well.
