I have a 2011 GT500 that is out of warranty with a shot lower control arm bushing. Does anyone know the upgraded part number that includes the heat shields? Having trouble finding and my local Ford parts dept. has no clue. Thanks!

Oddly enough, my 2014 GT arms we NOISY as hell. My 2011 arms with no shields are quiet.

I don't know if Snoopy's 19mm LCA's come re-boxed through Ford Racing, but here is the earlier car 18mm FRPP part number and the also the left and right heat shields and correct fasteners.......

Make sure the LCA's have the tabs and that they are drilled. Not all of the exact same part number LCA's have tabs and not all that have tabs are drilled......

Right LCA and heat shield.......

LH and RH heat shields and correct fasteners..........

Parts numbers (can be hard to find), 6 total fasteners............

The upgrade LCA for the 18mm ball joint cars.
Note - Some of these FRPP LCA's are the earlier 1-piece design with no tabs or tabs with no drilled holes. Be a wise buyer when buying these, ask for pictures.......

2-piece LCA having the front bushing attachment welded, not part of the casting as was the case with the original 2007-2010 LCA's

^^^Like I mentioned above, for those who are buying these FRPP LCA's to replace on your 18mm car, if you want to also install heat shields to protect your front LCA investment, make sure they are as shown above, 2-pc., tabs and drilled.

For those who are unfamiliar with the oem LCA ball joint change, the 2007-2010 use a 18mm ball joint and the 2011-2014 use a 19mm ball joint. I have seen tabs, no tabs, drilled tabs, not drilled tabs through all of the 2007-2014's, but all of the 2011-2014 LCA's that I have seen are the 2-piece design.

Excellent legwork Robert.

Tob - You did most of the original legwork on these oem front LCA's, I just took it a little further with the tab and TSB heat shield research.

Where have you been, I have not seen you on here recently?

I have a family member with Alzheimer's, two crazy Great Danes, and a wife. All are good at keeping my on my occupied.

I'm around. Just been spending time on GT350 based posts as of late. Good to see you are just as active as you always were.

Why not just ream your current spindles? I don't see any additional material on the 19mm factory spindles vs the 18mm...

Just to clarify, the C part number “to 7/22/13” supercedes the E part number “from 7/22/13”?

Thank you so much for all this info. I just had a set pop up for sale and definately used this thread for reference. Can't wait to get rid of the front end creak!

If the E superseded (replaced) the C, the C would not be listed.

The new part (E) may or may not fit the earlier cars made after 8/3/09 and before 7/21/13, but the older part number (C) won't work on the cars made after 7/22/13.

out of curiosity, for those of us with the 18mm ball joints, the part numbers AR3Z-3079-D and 4R3Z-3078-B for the front control arms are correct? My car makes a horrible creaking at a stop and low speeds while turning the wheel in either direction.

The set I was going to buy kind of fell through.

The M-3075-E FRPP LCA's shown in my post #4 are re-boxed oem Ford 18mm arms but instead sold through Ford Racing. <<They are usually cheaper than going to Ford and buying them under the long Ford part number. You just have to be aware of the FRPP arms that you are buying, some are "old stock" and do not have the features (drilled tabs) that I also showed in picture form in post #4. You have to ask the sell questions (maybe even pictures) to verify what is in the M-3075-E box.

My local Ford parts dept. ordered me a pair of arms a couple of years ago when I was researching this............they were the newer style 18mm arms, but did not have drilled tabs.
