As soon as I pull away from the driveway after spending hours cleaning, waxing, vacuuming, detailing, etc... that damn decklid panel is dirty within a city block. It attracts dust like crazy. What can I do to prevent that or at least prolong its clean appearance?

Detailer spray and a Micro fiber towel. Almost no pressure and buff...

You will spend an eternity doing this. I stopped bothering with it. LOL

I use Pledge dust & allergen. Spray on cloth and wipe, leaves a slight shiny film. Works ok but as in post above you'll wipe forever. I live on a dirt road and the dust drives me crazy.

I'm guessing you do not have a black car. That's what the entire rear end of my car looks like within a mile.

Most wax attracts dust (static electricity). I might suggest a sealant instead.
I use a California car duster to safely, gently and quickly remove surface dust.
(I would not suggest Pledge on automotive paint)

Waxes & sealants contain oils. Oils attract dust. I'd be willing to bet that Opti-Coat might work best.

Dust isn't soft and it will scratch your finish. Worst thing you can do is dry wipe it. Use a Quick Detailer or a Waterless wash.
