Trouble Removing Throttle Body

It's held onto the plenum with silver/gray permatex RTV. It's been on there for awhile and doesn't want to budge. How do I separate the two without causing damage?

Used a rubber wheel chock and whacked it with a hammer a few times. It finally came off.

Use a length of fishing line and work it between the two parts.

10lb. sledge will loosen it up.

Sometimes the hammer alone still won't do it. I suggest getting it good and warm first. If it's possible to let the engine run for a few minutes with the hood closed, it will help. If that RTV is cold, you're going to have a hell of a time breaking it loose.
