Trouble codes on 98' Cobra.

Hey guys, just purchased a 98' Cobra with the following mods:

JLT CAI
Bassani Mid length headers
Bassani XPIPE
Bassani Mufflers
IMRC deleted

I am getting these codes.....

P1414 & P0401

It looks to me that the 1414 code is for the smog pump. The pump is still there but everything has all been unhooked. Am I thinking correctly and can I have this taking away with a tune?

The 0401 I think is because of the IMRC delete. Am I thinking right or not?


Any help would be appreciated guys because I am getting ready to order a tuner and would like to make sure I get the correct details for the tune.

P0401 Insufficient EGR Flow.

P1414 Secondary Air Injection System Monitor circuit High Voltage.

Is your sai and egr deleted?

The EGR stuff looks to all be there and still hooked up I think.


I do not know what the SAI is.

after looking I do believe both of those are unhooked. So I will need to let the tuner know that when writes the tune correct?

Yes. He can turn them off, but if you have emissions inspections you will fail.

You will just need to get them deleted in the tune. You could go ahead and take all of the stuff off of the car if you wanted to.
