Coming up to a light on a 2 laner with a police station on the corner, I roll up on an Arab looking dude in a new SL 230 2 seater with "Compressor" on his fender. He looks over like he is king of the road. Light turns green and he takes off for the win since I won't race in front of a cop shop. Coming around a bend to the next light, my Escort starts to make noise.
I know already the cop is hiding a couple hundred yards up the road. Him, no clue. I'm in the right lane when the light goes green and he takes off. My bald Nitto's offer no traction so he has a big lead. I grab second and start to pull on him quickly until I see the front corner of the hidden police Expedition. He's going about 75 in a 50 at this point and I hit the brakes before the cop can see my nose dive and the Merc flies past and brakes after the fact.
Me driving buy smiling and waving = Priceless.
