This store brand oil looks to meet all specs, API SN, ILSAC GF-5. I just opened my wallet and paid $2.79 a quart full synthetic x 4 quarts for a civic. $11.84 total.

  • Suitable for use in all Ford, Honda, Chrysler and Toyota 5W-20 applications
  • Guaranteed to meet performance requirements

What is your take on this oil guys?

Made for tractor supply by Warren oil. It's the same thing as Pep Boys proline oil. It's a full synthetic and it meets all requirements and specs. So you go by the name or do you go by the color of the bottle do you specs mean nothing to you or price. I would rather have a full synthetic storebrand oil been a crappy Castrol GTX conventional

PQI has a detailed report on it.

The formulation meets the API SN requirements, however....look at that NOACK Volatility - 12.1%

YIKES! Cheap base oil!!!
