okay gentlemen and ladies. i have a 98 cobra with some basic mods. i ran it the other night at the track with radials and now have some problems. on the way home i raced a camaro and shifted to second and got the rev limiter. pretty sure second gear is toasted. it shifts into second so i don't think it's just a fork. i think its the gear itself. but anyways my question is for those of you that instaled a tremec into you cars. i found a scatershield bellhousing for a tremec. i don't have the money for a tremec but i have some t-5s laying around for my gt. are the t-5s the same as the tremec. when you put the tremec in did you need a diferent starter or driveshaft. i know imput and output shafts are different but the t-5 is the same as the t-45. but length is the questionable part. has anybody done this swap before? have a t-5 or tremec in there cobras? thanks for all your help.
