Transmission service opinions needed?

Hey guys,

The truck is getting close to needing a trans service, any feedback on the "power purge" that is offered now? Or is it just better to do the standard?

The best "service" that I know of is to drop the pan, change the filter, replace the gasket and reinstall the pan. Then hook up the fluid changing machine that pumps new fluid all the way through the trans cooler, the pump, the converter, and all the passages in the trans. That is the best method for being sure that every drop of old dirty fluid is removed and replace by fresh, clean fluid.
