My tranny has done this three times now, but after I start the car I will be in second gear (dunno about first cuz I don't "cruise" in first) and i will let off the gas (it's alwasy been going downhill slightly, never flat ground but that wouldnt change it) and it will start to chunk really badly as if i were in first and suddenly let off the gas at 3-4k, but it will keep doing it till i get back in the clutch or get on the gas (scared to let it keep doing it and "work itself out").
just wondering if you guys had any ideas, i.e. change fluid, get a new tranny, etc.
