Transmission Mount Upgrade for Magnum XL

The weakest link in the Magnum XL upgrade kit is the transmission mount, it's a made in China piece designed for a V-6 Ford Explorer that retails for about $10.00. I discovered mine was cracked during a pre race inspection and was able to find a nice replacement made by Energy Suspension…..part # 4-1148G…..bought it from Summit for $50.00….anybody running a Magnum XL should put this on there to do list this off season.

Good heads up. I have been meaning to address that mount. But haven't gotten around to it yet. I figured I would have to make one.

Are you 100% sure the fitment is right? Did you put it on yet?

Are you still running the rubber isolated shift handle?

I installed it and it fits perfect….I'm running a Steeda shifter..

What tranny did Duper have in his car when he went 8.80 ? Was it modded?
