Does anyone know if a T-45 out of an 198x model 5.0 will fit on an 02 gt if I put a different bellhousing

sure the 96-early01 cars came with the T-5, but why change to a worse tranny? the 3650 is stronger and better and has better gearing if i remember correctly.

I broke the 3rd gear syncronizer in the 3650, and have this tranny laying around.

96-01 cars came with a T45 not a T5. V6's came with T-5's. A weaker version.



The T45 will fit but you will need to swap tailshafts as the 98 has a mechanical speedo and you have an electric.

My T45 with 96K on it shifts smoother than my buddies 15K Mach.
