please help me out. i am looking into buying a 96 or newer cobra and have a question about them. did they make a cobra with an automatic transmission? i have to have an automatic - not because i'm too ignorant to drive a stick, but instead it's because of my physical disability. if they did make it with an automatic, how hard would it be to find one? every cobra that i have seen so far has a stick. if they didn't and still don't make an automatic, how hard would it be to put an automatic in one? what type of automatic and what kind of cost would i be looking at?

Nope. All Mustang Cobras are Standards.

Put an auto in? Eeek dont know.

Yes you can put an automatic in a Cobra. I would go with a C4, you might not ever use it to it's full potential but they aren't that exspensive.
