When wiring a vehicle for a barke controller can I pull the brake signal from the 4 pin harness at the back of the car that plugs unto the factory harness?
I ask because I'd rather not tap directly into the signal coming off the brake switch at the brake pedal. I hate taps as I've seen problems with them.
My thought is that since I need to run 2 wires to the 7 pin I'm installing why not just run a third and not mess with the factory wiring?
If something happens to the 4 pin at the back it's easier to repair or replace.
