I have a 2013 GT that I supercharged with a roush stage three set up and a smaller pulley. I get 635/615 RWHP/RWTQ. I have 3:73 gears, upper and lower control arms, sway bar and relocation brackets. I have run 295 35 18 Michellin Pilot SS, Potenza RE760, and 305 35 18 M/T Drag Radials on 18x10 rear wheels. I understand hooking 600+ hp on the street is not realistic, however, unless i have the drag radials on I can spin them in 4th Gear at 60mph. Can anyone give advice on what to add that may improve traction? Also does anyone know what the widest rim that can be used with out clearance issues?

Change the rear. 3.15's will help. Depending on the rim and offset, you can fit 11's with a 315 DR

Thanks, I was considering gears but honestly didnt know what would be a good ratio. I love the way 3:73's feel but they are just too much for my style of driving. Again thanks

Hey Usmc,

Sounds like you have a pretty awesome setup there!

You have your suspension nailed down pretty well so I'm going to have to point the finger at the 3.73's.

They are an extremely fun gear but when you're making almost 650 RWHP they are not too forgiving.

I would recommend dropping to a set of Ford Racing 3.31 gears.

They will help with not blowing the tires out as soon as you press the gas and will also help with some up top power.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions!

I say stick with the 3.73's and just run the taller drag radials. You should be good with something like NT05R's or 555R's which can actually handle some rain if you're careful. If you grip you will be faster and pull harder with the 3.73's. Its been cooler out this time of year too, but being you are in Louisiana it wont be cool for long and soon you will find traction again.

Good luck!

I'd switch to a MT 305 45 18 on your 10" rims... The 35 series needs a 11" rim & the side wall is very short. Even though they are both a 305, the 35 is wider. I'll be going with either the MT 305 45 18 or a M&H 325 40 18 to hook 700+ WHP in the spring.

The taller tire will knock some of your gear down too... Win win

I think this is excellent advice.

Keep the drag radials and 3.31s or 3.15 gears in the rear. You don't really need much gear because you can add lots of timing down low and make boost/torque hit REALLY hard almost anywhere. A 15x10 wheel with a 275/60/15 or 325/50/15 DR would work even better than the low profile stuff.

I understand what you mean... and that makes alot of sense. Thanks for the advice. I have a brand new set of the 305 35 18s right now and will try the 305 45 18 next. The way this thing spins the tires that will be sooner than later lol.... How far will the speedo be off (if at all) with a little taller tire?

I love the taller tire idea honestly. Gives more sidewall and will act like you have a taller gear. This is one reason I'm considering the paxton. Won't hit at hard down low.
