Finally got the Cobra to Rockingham Dragway. Times weren't as strong as I thought they would be. Mostly stock trim, K&N, 3.55 gears and bumped up timing. 8th mile time: 9.4 @ 77.55 mph 1/4 times best of 14.4 @ 97.69. Temps were high in the 80's. My M3 ran a best of 14.5 @ 98.69 mph. A better driver could probably get the times down to low 14's. Any other stock times out there?

14.2 stock here

a few were lucky enough to hit high 13's stock. Mine would have if I would have run on some sticky tires

My teal/black cobra ran a best of 13.78 on the factory goodyears, with just a K&N replacement filter, 14deg. of timing. , otherwise totally stock. In the high 90deg. texas heat it would usually run 13.90's

I would just baby the car off the line and then make clean shifts at 5200rpms and go through the traps in 3rd gear

3.73 gears and a set of drag radials is all you need for easy 13.0s on an otherwise stock car. The 93 Cobra makes enough power to easily run 12.90s-13.0s stock, the trick is getting the power to the ground.

My first 93' went 13.99 @ 99.8mph with only a K&N and the 10 minute Tune Up.

In the end, I was running 13.0's @ 107mph on street radials. The car had the potential be in the mid 12's, but I never put DR's on it or slicks for that matter. I had Port/Polished heads, E303 cam, Extrude Honed Upper w/ Port matched lower, Pro-M 75mm MAF, 1 5/8" shorty headers, 2 1/2'' Off-Road H, Flows, 3.55's.

for you to turn a 1.9 ish 60 footer, quick clean shifts @5200-5400rpm, cooler weather wouldnt hurt either. say 70-75 degrees.
still cant quite make it-put a short belt on eliminating the power steering and smog pump. disconnect front sway bar end links and tie the bar up out of the way, ice the intake(alot of tracks dont like this so...) but have the oil and engine block warm.
you WILL (or at least should :D ) run 13's especially with 3.55's
good luck:beer: let us know how you do next time out!
bryan

I ran essentially the same 1/8th mile speed and time that you did. The biggest problem that I had was keeping the street tires from spinning on launch.

I ran a 14.4 @ 98 mph with mine. This was my first time at the track. I can't remember the 60 foot time, but I know that I was spinning in 1st and 2nd. This was in the summer heat and humidity of Tulsa, OK. I am thinking about going back in October, when it is a little cooler.
