Track times from last night. getting alittle better

OK ran only three passes due to rainout.. Ran my best the first pass a 20 or min cool down. Had trouble hitting second gear. There is alot of play in my clutch cable so ill throw the clutch adjuster on to fix it. The 3 pass i messed the throw out bearing, Its past sqealling it screaming and vibrating bad, so im sure that didnt help me..

keep practicing... my bud has a 97 stock cobra and the best he has done is a 8.5 at 83.... but hey those times are good to me.. my best time is a 9.03 at 84 with my mods

I think you should be trapping higher than that man, I have 1/2 your mods and 18" rims and I'm doing 13.63@ 106.49 And i only have gears and exhaust.

Your 60' times are great, your deff not lacking there. What are you running for tires? Its hard to say what any car should be running when comparing mods b/c temperatures and elevation play a big factor.

Elevation: 1,475 feet above sea level
my raptor is set at 6300 rpms.. I usually shift about 6700 or so. tires are 26x15x10.5 et streets. I know my slow shifting is playing a hard role on slow ets and mph..

Well he said he was shifting slow. I'm not sure how slow but I agree with you.

Dude, you should be able to get 13 flat and about 105-109 mph with those launches !!!

yeah i know. i think alot of it is due to my slow shifting.. If i try to bang gears i miss everytime. Bristol is a very slow track. from here to commerce georgia is a half second difference... I just need more seat time...

see my power drops off fast after 6200 so i shift at 6300-6400 and it feels faster then spinning it to 6700-6800. try shifting around 6400rpm. i dont think shifting so high is gonna help unless u got a Short Runner Intake...
