Track Time/MPH... car running weak??

Took my car to the track for the first time ever just to get some base numbers before i do a few things to it.

Car as sits. 3.73, Catted Xpipe, Shorties, E303, CAI, and U&L control arms with Tune.

Car ran 78.17 mph in the 1/8th.
The mph was what i was looking at considering im not very experienced at the track and could only muster a 9.3 with not getting very good launches on street tires....

Temperature was 98 degrees.

Question is.... does that seem a little slow for the 1/8th?? i just feel like the car should be running better than it is...

Sounds a tad slow, but the heat can play a big factor. What's the elevation there?

450 feet. Humidity was quite high and it was pretty hot but i figired.there was way more in the car

You may just have to try it a few more times, where you can get comfortable with the car and the track. You may get a day where it is a little cooler and it may run out a little better for you. Does seem a little slow, but the more you run it the better you will get at launching, shifting, and running the track.
