Just installed a 4C. Question is how do you guys leave at the track, against the stall of slap it?

Second question is on Tire OD, MT DR. I put have a 3.73 gear in my A6. Mods VMP tune, Aluminum DS, 3.73 and now 4C. Currently run a 275 50 15 and worked good before the converter. 12.05@115. Tire OD is 26". I'm switching rear wheels and am wondering if a 275 60 15 will be better or worse with my combo? For those with my combo which will work best with the converter and 3.73?

I don't get a lot of passes when I go to the track and want to be close with my set up when I land/

The 3.73 gears probably have you shifting into 4th gear around the 1000ft mark. The smaller diameter tire (275/50) will help keep the car pulling while in 4th. Similar to running a steeper gear. It's not a huge difference though, but will give you a little bit more ET wise.

The Circle D 4C Converter is really going to wake up your 5.0 and keep the RPM up during shifts.
I would not change out the 28 inch tires because they will give you a bigger foot print over the 26 inch tire at the stating line.
You could go with a off-road H pipe for a few more HP.
I think your 5.0 will go 11.60et with your mods.
Just my $.02!

David I went to the 26" tire in an effort to get some wheel speed off the line with the 3.15 gears. They worked well with the 3.73 but still couldn't spin a tire with the stock converter.
28" will fill the fender better but my main concern is performance. Will the shorter tire be working in the right gear at 1000' now that the converter is keeping rpms up.

I have launched my car from 800 rpm up to 4000rpm. you just have to find out what your car likes.. mine likes right around 3000 to 3200rpm off the two step.

I went last knight for the first time in my 2013 A6, I made 4 passes with stalling it to 1000rpm (stock converter) and had the same 2.02 60ft, for the last pass I stalled it to 1700ish and it had the best 60ft of 1.99. I had a 28.5" tall drag radial on it also.

That's why I tried a shorter tire, thought it would help the 3.15, not much. Even with the 3.73 car wouldn't turn a wheel off the line. 60 picked up to 1.86, but all that was after the launch. Hoping the this 4C will wake it up down low.

I think your new converter will take away all your starting line concerns and 60 foot times.
If I were you I would put 28PSI in the drag radial and run the RPM up on your new converter and see if your 5.0 will 60 foot.

never going to spin a Drag Radial on the stock converter unless the track crew uses Mazola instead of VHT. I'm pulling mid 1.4 60's on 100% stock suspension with a 275/60/15
