TR5 IX Iridium Pics

Here are some pics of the TR5 IX Iridium Plugs after a few WOT blasts and some regular driving mixed in. They are part# 7397 bought at Carquest for $57.52 tax included.

Wow, those are some very clean plugs.

But do they improve performance or increase engine life?

They run just like the regular TR5's which have better throttle response and higher MPH through the traps over the stock plugs. The TR5 IX has a smoother idle and maybe smoother cruising over the regular TR5.

I don't know of any plug that will increase your engine life.

I didnt mean that it would truly increase your engine life, but when you compare a regular plug to a platinum plug, the heat dissipation is better and the quality of the spark is better. Hence that creates a better fueling ignition situation and less wear on the combustion portion of the engine. So indirectly those plugs will enhance/prolong engine life as compared to cheaper plugs.
