I'm sorry if this has been asked a million times but i need a quick answer on a fitment issue...

will the 315/35ZR17 R888's fit on a stock 03 04 17" wheels?

I know the NITTO 555R's work and NITTO fits a bit small ..... but they do work and are commonly used..... but has anyone tried the toyo's in this size with any luck?

I can't see it being that far off? but who knows... ??????

again i know its a stretch literally...... but am in Canada and its very hard to get NITTO's up here for me, not may Canadian tire suppliers have them available

Any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated as i need to order tires asap... :coolman:

Thanks

I wouldn't do it. I'm going to be putting 305/35 r888's on my 18 x 10 rears and I don't feel great about it based on pics I've seen. Your talking a wider tire on a 9" rim. I think even the 295 in the r888 would be pushing it.

I honestly don't think it will even work on a 9'' rim man. I'm running a 305 R888 on a 10'' rim and it looks great imo but it does bulge a good bit. These tires run wide but they hook like super glue. I can nearly hook 1st gear

I actually think the 305's look to big on my 10 inch wide wheels. I'll be doing 305 on 18x11.

How does these tires hook up on the street compared to an ET Street 2 or Nitto Nto5r?

From my research on r888's vs et street 2's - on the unprepped street, nod to the r888's, on a prepped track (drag), nod to the ET Street 2. Wet traction seems about a push - but big win for the ET Street 2's in wear, some report double the miles, but of course if you care about handling, r888's win easily. It also seems people that are running r888's rarely have wheel hop. I'm going with the r888's, just hope to get at least 8k miles out of them, guess we'll see.

I would've thought the r888's would last longer? Thanks for the reply. Not trying to hijack op thread. Just looking for something that would hold 620rwhp descently. My NT05r's don't really cut it. Unless it's 80 plus degrees.

I have a set of 18x11.5's in the rear. Would you recommend 315/30r18's or 305's? I have 3/8th LP spacers in the rear also. I also have 18x10's in the front. Would you recommend 275/35r18's or 285/30r18's? Any help would be great! Thanks

IMO, 315 or bigger on a 11.5, but since the r888's run so wide, you might be OK with a 305. Not sure about a 10" on the front with 285's if were talking about a New Edge. Most people don't run a wheel that wide on the front.

there is a .1 " difference in contact patch between the 305 and the 315. You'll be fine with either on the rear

a 275 on a 10" wheel will looked stretched IMO
