Will this size Toyo TQ fit in the wheel well of a 2003 SVT - Toyo TQ drag radial 345 x 40 x 17?

Oh hell yea! Thats almost a 28" tall tire, and if you are a stock geared cobra, you dont want a 28" tall tire unless you have 700rwhp or better. Plus you need like a 12" wide wheel or wider to fit that width wheel. Just put a 315/35-17 on a 10.5" wide wheel and be happy.

Thanks for your help. I was going to move to a CCW LM20 18" wheel, and put the Toyo on that - which is about 26.5 inches, but it fits the wheel well nicely and looks great.
Until I can afford that $4,000, I was thinking of replacing the 315 X 35 X 17 Sumitomos with a Toyo. I see they are 25.6 OAD so that probably works better.
