towing a mustang

So I'm gonna be towing the cobra across country in August and was just wondering what everyone used for towing. Whether it be a track only car or just the occasional trip. I've got an 88 chevy half ton that does pretty good on the highway and probably will pick up like a 18-20 foot car hauler with the tax return.

So lets see the tow rigs...

Just make sure the truck is in decent shape and get a trailer brake controller you should be fine. Maybe a little under powered. The last thing you want is to break down in the middle of nowhere.

+1 for a good trailer brake controller. I have a 2012 Ford F-250. Diesel 6.7L

Ya, I plan on getting a brake controller. For sure underpowered, wish I could afford a nice newer diesel like that but kinda hard to afford more toys on a military salary. Maybe when we get the ol lady's car paid off...
