My original touch up paint "Performance Red" is very thick and gooey. Can I use some paint thinner to bring it back to original texture? It does match very well, just too thick to use now.

Thinner will work, or reducer will work too. You don't want to use too much, because most touch up paint already has reducer in it, along with a top coat of clear. That is why it is glossy when you use it. Paint itself, would be dull.

The dealer should be able to get that. That color was on 94 Rangers and Mustangs, and they brought it back in 00. I had a 00 GT with that Performance Red...same paint code as a 94 GT I once had too.
