Torsen type diffs

Ive been looking at buying a torsen type diff. I work at a Ford racing dealership so my price of the ford racing torsen t2 and the detroit true trac are right around the same price. my car is a cruise/strip car so i need something that will take the abuse of the 1/4 mile. Anyone have any feed back on either?

You need a Torsen T2R. The T2 will break.

Ok and that's better than the Detroit trutrac or equal too.

I just checked it out on Ford racing site and the T2 R and it says not for drag racing

Detroit Truetrack or Wavetrack if you have $$ to burn. Good thread on Modfords about it this week.

Maybe.. looks to be good in autocross.

Holy hell! That wavetrac looks beautiful but you weren't lying about expensive $1,095 for a non c clip model.

The Wavetrac looks intriguing, but they don't appear to make one for the Ford 8.8", only the 9".
