Help me out, when installing my temp sensor for my electric fan, I lost some coolant. How do I replace this coolant in the radiator?

It looks like I just fill the overflow canister and let the motor cycle several times. Is that correct?

What if I drain the radiator, how do I fill it?

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but I don't want to mess up my truck.

If u were putting ur thermostat in, and u lost some coolant.. Just go to auto shop and get coolant 50 water and 50 coolant.. Gold-yellow kind to.. dont get the green coolant.. go fill up in the coolant tank.. Get a cup and fill the cup up with coolant then pour it in, then fill it up with distilled water and pour it in.. fill it up to the line.. then start the truck and let it run a lil bit.. if the coolant tank starts to go down. Pour in some more coolant. then ur done..
