TOB Retainer Tube (Pics inside)

At 19k miles, my tob started making a little noise, no big deal, shifting seemed ok., decided to go ahead and replace the clutch and TOB at the same time.

This was what the retainer sleeve looked like when it was removed:





Broken in two! I'm out of warranty, since its more than 3 years old. This crap shouldn't happen at 19k miles. Ford needs to warrantee these things.

I'm lucky there was no other tranny damage.

Mine looked exactly the same. I had to buy the McLeod pieces TOB & tube; both are heavier duty. I had the LDC cooling mod put on at the same time.

I went with the Mcleod tube and Centerforce TOB. The stock TOB felt and sounded as if it had sand/gravel inside it.
