TOB Question

Lethal offers 2 different TOB's for the 03/04 cobra and I was wondering which one is or would be better for the car or if there are any differences as far as longevity, ect in the two.

1)Centerforce 96-04 Mustang Throwout/Release Bearing

2)Ford Racing 96-04 Heavy Duty Throw Out Bearing

I agree with Kilgore. The best TOB for your car is the OEM part. It will outlast any of the aftermarket ones. I think it's Ford P/N F7ZZ-7548-AA.

The Ford Racing on is the unit you want. OEM = Original Equipment Manufacter

I'm pretty sure they're the same part. Different number, maybe, but same part.

I ran a centerforce for about 6K miles, and it started going bad at about the 4K mark. I changed it out for the FRPP unit, and the centerforce TOB was barely even able to spin by hand it was so worn out.

huh, good thing i saw this thread. I was going to order the CF TOB... I guess i'll stick with OEM.

What about this "Forged Steel TOB Retainer Sleeve". Is it worth the money or not....

What is the difference between the FRPP TOB & the OEM one? is they the same?

They are the same except FRPP parts do not have a warranty... Funny and sad at the same time, eh?

oem lasted me 93k miles, good enough for me to use again when i replace everything.
