Okay, so I am gonna be due some new tires here pretty soon. I just bought my mustang and as of right now here are the tires I have:

Rear - 285/40/18 - Nitto NT555 Extreme
Front - 245/45/18 - General Tire

I want to stay same size in the rear; what do you all think a good size for the front would be??

Any suggestions on what tire to go with? I want a good all season tire, with decent tread life.

Thanks guys

how wide are your rims up front? You can easily run a 275 up front without rub issues.

To be honest with you I am not sure, I bought the car used about 2 months ago. I am guessing they are 9" wide but not 100%

does the 245 look ok on the front? good way to judge rim width. If it's not bulging or stretched stick with the 245. I'm sure you can run a 275 on a 9'' with little to no bulge of the sidewall.

Luckily I have 18x10s all the way around, and the 275 is stretched on mine a little. I'm going to 295's on the rear soon.

I'm running 275/40/R18's on a 9.5" rim (recommended by Steeda). I feel that the tires might be a slight bit too wide for the rim. I'm running Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's on all four corners.

I have

18 x 9 front 265 / 35 / 18

18 x 10 rear 285 / 35 / 18

and i think that 275 / 40 / 18 in front and 285 / 40 in the rear would look better . I think the roushs come with that front set up and it looks good. can you guys help with putting pics up on here ???? :??:

275 in the front? That seems really wide up front, but this coming from a guy who has only went 255 lol! I bet that setup looks good!

I ran 275's up front on my '98 Cobra and am now doing it on my '08 GT. My Cobra tended to track sometimes with those tires, but I don't have too much of a problem with my GT tracking.

BF Goodrich T/A KDW 2's hands down. Between myself with my blown S197 and a buddy with a mean GT500 we've all tried Pirrelis, Eagle F1 super cars, Nitto 555 and 555r and don't compare are far as street performance, wear and ride. I cant say anything bad about the KDW 2 tire or enough good things about them. Im running 18x9 in the front with 255/35/18s and in the rear 18x10 with 285/35/18s. They obviously aren't good for a track night, but i push it on the street with 400RWHP and love em!

yep, Roush puts 275's all 4 corners and uses Michelin Pilot Sports. Nice tires, just a but spendy to replace.

You want pics of the tires?Like staggered or.......
