OK, actually I got it for my wife. We was out driving around and she started talking about how she wanted a new Roush, so I asked her what kind. She said she wanted a SGM, manual, coupe, stage 3, brake upgrade and interior upgrade. We went to the local Roush dealer and as we walked up there sat the exact car she had described 30 minutes earlier, I was thinking you have to be kidding me!

Of course she got to drive it home a couple hours later, and it gives me something to do until my clutch comes in.....if it ever does, Spec keeps pushing it back every few days. She really loves it and it doesn't scare her like the modded Shelby does, has every option from Roush except the toolbox!

I like the suede seat inserts, door panels, and shifter boot.

I read that the new 2014 Roush stage 3 comes with an aluminator engine with 675 hp. I'm not sure what the price is though.

The Aluminator is an $8k+ option, you can get the 675 upgrade kit for any of the 2011+ now for $1500.

How much hp does your new Roush come with? They had a few at my local dealer. I always thought they were very nice looking cars.

They come with 565(phase 1), with two upgrades. Phase 2 is 625, phase 3 is 675.

So the only difference in the new 2014 roush stage 3 mustangs is now phase 1 comes with 575 instead of 565 like the 2013? I didn't know you could get any phase added to any 2011+ models that's cool, 675 hp is no joke.

Roush always seems to up the ante each year

2010-427r 3 valve with 427 hp
2010-stage 3 (also a 3 valve) 540 hp
2011-5XR 525 hp 5.0 4valve
2012-stage 3 540 hp 5.0 4valve
2013-stage 3 565 hp 5.0 4valve
2014- stage 3 575 hp 5.0 4valve

Never understood why they went to a 5XR when the 5.0 came out in 2011 instead of sticking with the stage 3 name and also why they would go from a 2010 3 valve making 540 to the 2011 5XR with the new 5.0 and go down to 525 hp??!? Kinda odd. But not to derail this thread lol, sweet purchase OP, wonder how long it'll take for the wife to want the phase 3 package lol

i had a 2103 stage 3 that i traded for my shelby...i also had the 5xr before the 13...i like my 5xr better...power band seemed smoother to me..also watch the front corners of the hood scoope...mine started cracking the paint with less that 1000 miles on it....i would own a roush again and maybe had i known about the new options Roush has i would have gone with the 14 MY instead of the Shelby...but i have seen them selling for $69-$70k with the Aluminator motors...

She must have scoped that car out a few days prior....

Either way, nice purchase!

I would suspect that, but she had been talking about wanting a Sterling Gray Metallic for awhile. She also had been complaining about not having the seats and big brakes on her 2011 since she got it. I only asked her because I figured after 6 months she would have changed her mind again.

The 2010 Stage 3 had a fully built motor by Roush, those things are beasts and were under rated.

so phase 2 and 3 are on stock short block? does it come with a warranty?

No warranty on anything over Phase 1. The stock block and clutch has been reliably holding up to 600rwhp, anything over that requires upgrades.

The modded Shelby scares her, it's that extra torque!

So there's a stock GT clutch in there or does the package come with and upgraded clutch?
