I have 18x10 Roush wheels and would like to know what would be the tallest DR I can throw on there is to maybe help lower the rpms resulting from my 373s. I'm guessing I will still have to bump the limiter either way to avoid hitting 5th in the 1/4 - any input is appreciated. Thanks

Just change your gear to a 3:55 or 3;31 and be done with it. OR, get a cheap pair of race wheels and put a 28" DR on them.

a gear change will likely happen but only after throwin' a blower on - that won't be for a while. I've thought about picking up some race wheels but was looking more toward the immediate future and figured some DRs would be best for now.

i was wondering the same thing. I have 19's and want to get some forgestar and was wanting a slightly taller tire to compensate for the 3.73's. I don't really like the look of the ultraslim tire but obviously don't want to look like im going off roading either....

305/40/18 is about 27.7 inches tall

305/45/18 is about 28.7 inches tall

Just for reference the stock brembo tire size is 255/40/19 which comes in at 27.2 inches tall.

So either the 40 would work and 45 would be optimal. But the 45 may look a little funny since it is pretty tall of a tire. But if your not concerned with appearance and only care about performance go with the 305/45. Nitto has alot of tires in these sizes to choose from.

cool, I appreciate the info! I'll probably go with the 45s and hope the DRs don't appear more narrow than my front tires
