I have a set of 2011 19" wheels/tires on my 08 and I am looking to buy a set of pilot super sports to replace the terrible F1s. Does anyone know the biggest tire size that will fit on these wheels without rubbing anywhere on the car? (biggest as in the widest but still having a decent sidewall) I searched this forum and another but I was unable to find a definitive answer.

From my research, on stock wheels, 295's will fit out back nicely. Technically, the same would fit on the front, but that is really stretching the wheel width, and might not have the best cornering characteristics. I'm about to put MSPP 275/40 19 on the front, then later when worn 295/35 19 out back.

I just purchased 2011-12 FR Track Pack wheels for my car, and I am mounting MPSS 295/35R19 on the 10" rear wheels and 255/35R19 on the front 9" wheels. Nitto NT05R 305/35R19 will fit on the 10" rear wheels also if you need more grip.

I researched this as well and the biggest I've seen up front is a 285, but I don't think the Michelin's come in that size. I'm looking at putting my rears on the front, so 285/35 and replacing the backs with Nitto 305's once springtime rolls around.

People put 305/35s on stock rims all the time. It's not recommended on a 9.5" rim but it'll still roll.

Are there safety concerns with this? 305/35/19 on a 19x9.5 rim??

I would love a nice set of 305s in the back its hard to find a tire in 285 that fits 9.5" wheel.

Discount tire told me they'd put a set of 305/35r19's Nitto NT05R on my stock wheels. if you are looking at staying at 285, Continental DW is the way to go. I love them. I've pulled a 1.97 60' on them at the track and they work damn well on the street.

I think uneven wear and sidewall bulge. I know when my car gets back 305/35/19 NT05R are going on the back. I like the look and they've got to hook better than stock goodyears.

If your looking for a sticky race tire for the 9.5 a lot of guys run mt et streets 2 in 305/35/19 with no fitment issue. If you need a DD tire go with the dw, I run the dws in winter and it's the best all season I've used but we get an occasional snow dusting. I mainly use the kuhmo ecsta xs for summer in a 285/35/19. Hooks better than my 555r’s do at ~700whp and they're ridiculously good in the rain. For a FL car that would be my choice but a rarely used tire on here and I've tried about all of them.

Replaced fronts only today. Mich Pilot Super Sports. Feel great so far, BUT.... really kicking myself. I went 275/40 19. Mistake. The sidewall profile is visibly and noticeably taller. Thought I'd "fix" it by going 295 40's out back, nope, not available. Oh well, live and learn, I own them now.

The rears are what keep you planted, use what you want. In summer I run 245 dws up front with 285 kumhos out back, works very well even in heavy rain.

I've got 245/45/19s up front and 285/40/19s out back. (not stock wheels, but 19s)

The difference in height isn't substantial enough to mess with your traction control, and I think it gives you a really nice sidewall height / fills the wheel wells as well.

Only caveat, you'd have to mis-match tires, something like PS3s up front, and PSS or PS2s in the back. I personally don't see that as a problem though.

So the real question now is, whats the best 305 tire forr street and some mild track usage (twice a year)?

MT ET Streets 2 look pretty good but at 373 a tire im crying lol. Do you think the Invos are on par or sub par?

The invos on the rear will just be a dd summer tire, you won't be winning any races with them. The best budget sticky tire will be the 555r’s.
