I need some help with what tire size to go with. I have 17x9 with 275/40/17 front and 17x10.5 rear with 315/35/17. I want to go with a 275 on the rear to give me more options of tires, what profile should i go with for the 275's on a 10.5 wheel and keep the profile looking the same as the front. What does everybody run with 17x9 and 10.5?

I wouldnt put a 275 on a 10.5
I want a tire that will last more then a few thousand miles. Most all the 315's I have found have low ware ratings unless you pay 300+ a tire
go 295 instead....275 is way too narrow for a 10.5 wheel.
I was looking on Tirerack and did find anything on a 295 except for 1 tire.
295 is probably not wide enough for a 10.5, I run 315's on a 10 and they fit nice without any buldge
When I bought my Cobra 4 years ago, it had 275/45-17 on 10.5" rear wheels. To me, it didn't look that bad

I wouldn't put anything less than a 305 on a 10.5 inch wheel but I have friends that have 225 stretched onto 10.5 inch wheels. Their cars are drift cars though and they want less traction and cheap tires

Maybe ill have to suck it up and keep the 315's on the car they are just so expensive and don't last long. I have the Sumitomo HTRZ and they only have 160 on the ware rating. And you throw in 430 gears and a couple burn outs and they are done pretty quick. And with these tires what I have noticed when you spin them they grow a good bit and the center gets bald quick the inside / outside inch and half don't have much ware.

I would stick with 315's for sure! They are cheap if you go with the Summitomo's but the Nitto's get my vote. I have 18's and hate like hell every time i need tires and wish I had 17's lol.
there Is a guy on ebay that sells 315/30/18 toyo r888's for 350 shipped a set. Havnt ran mine yet but have read good things.
I have the Summitomo's on it now and I hate them. Maybe Ill switch to some nitto;s Looks like ill keep the 315's.
I ran 295's on my 11" wheel with absolutely no issues... :bored:
