Tips on trip to Oktoberfest in Munich Germany

I am planning a trip over to Munich for the next coming Oktoberfest. I was wondering if any of you guys have ever been and had any good tips on places to stay, the best tents, and etc.

Remember Oktoberfest is in september, not october. Do not take a cab. The subway will take you anywhere you need to go and it is very cheap. Just stay at a hostel and save some money. Go to the Haufbrau haus. It has the best sausage and kraut you'll ever have.
